Christmas Morning at ours, with me cooking and spending most the morning untying those little plastic wires from the kids toys. 10 minute walk to my Mums for the late afternoon evening.

Boxing Day- 11am 10 mile Time Trial with the local cycling club. Pub dinner( with one eye on my phone checking the score) with inlaws then to theirs for the rest of the Day.

Cheesy. I used to enjoy watching married with children in the early 90's. Can you change your username to Al Bundy?  Smiley

Christmas Eve is always a cracking night out. Better than NYE.

Accordingly I hope to spend my Xmas morning slinging one up some monstrosity then trying to get her to fuck off before my mother comes round to pick me up.

It can be a fucking shitter for self employed people that don't receive a salary. Being without work, and an income, because of other people's fantasy beliefs is not good.

Fortunately for me this year I have enough money and will be spending time on the beach where I should get to forget all about it.

Indeed, every year we vow to put money aside to cover the 2 week site shutdown my husband has without pay.  Every year, something crops up which prevents us from doing that.  We won't get properly back on top of our money until mid February.

Well here's a tip for you.

Don't spend Xmas Eve in Ireland - no pubs open

You get a lot of tired and emotional ladies during the festive period....the bulk of the Christmas stuff falls firmly at their door. Evidenced by fellas on here...when asked what they do, answer doss about, eat loads drink loads...the burden falls on the women...which is why, given half the chance they're out on the razzle.

Brings a new meaning to "ho ho ho, merry christmas!"

It's nice to know you spend your christmas as awful a human being as the rest of the year. Nothing if not consistent!
