A good football interview from someone who appears to be a football man, which is reassuring. Only aspect that worries me is the lack of interest in doing anything with the ground, which is not a sustainable position in my view.

But naturally, I would like to hear Dosser's take on this.

Blackpool, iirc, didn't start any ground improvements until they got into the top flight? I suppose it's a chicken and egg thing: ground development could increase revenue, which if invested in the playing side could give success. If we had a successful team first that could also increase revenue and in turn this could fund ground improvements.

There is some evidence of limited cross breeding between Neanderthals and Homo Sapiens, so it's likely that some people around today have Neanderthal genetics.
It's thought that Neanderthals died out not because of some ethnic cleansing by us, but rather because of their inability to cope with changing environmental circumstances....probably brought about in Europe by a catastrophic volcanic eruption in what we now call Italy.
Neanderthals having evolved in Europe, had brains whereby a lot of capacity was given over to ocular development, necessary for coping with a lower light environment, like we have atm. Neanderthals were also physically strong....it's thought that Neanderthals would have been very good at things requiring physical strength and spatial awareness, like being a centre forward.
Where they failed was that they weren't very good at social networking...being something of loners...so when harsh conditions prevailed, they didn't have the social solutions to get through. Homo Sapiens, however having evolved in Africa, before arriving in a Europe already stocked with Neanderthals, had a brain where more capacity was available for social networking having evolved in a light rich environment. This enabled better linguistic and social skills to develop and so survive the catastrophe.
Maybe Power is just doing what comes naturally to him. I'm sure Jasper Fforde could make something of a Neanderthal chairman of STFC.

Gnomes, goblins, elves etc, may be a folk memory of extinguished humanoids. Chimps and bonobos share 99% of our DNA also. Bonobos are the ones who spend most of their time putting it about, in a variety of orifices with a variety of partners....bit like a few on here.

They started working on their ground while they were in League One I think. They'd definitely developed two sides when we played them in 03/04
