Suddenly closed down this afternoon, and all customers asked to leave immediately!!  Hope none of the TEF have got Xmas do's booked there, money lost from the signs it would seem!!  About 50 redundancies just before Xmas is not good news.

A party for 140 people was planned for tonight at the Menzies Hotel, hours before the hotel closed its doors and threw staying guests off the premises

Ouch that sucks

Don't think that is very funny Tans in the circumstances, 50 people out of work just before Xmas, and 100 or so people turfed out on the street without a moment's notice or compensation. Crying Crying

There's usually soup kitchens and stuff for Swindon's ever growing numbers of junkies, dossers and down and outs on the bit of land SBC made into a dog shit covered park for them just over the road, so they should be OK, if in need of a hot meal.

One wonders why the 100 or so people didn't refuse to leave...
