Move is out of my hands - Wes

WES Foderingham has stressed that any potential departure from Swindon Town in January would ultimately be out of his hands.

Sensible statement by Wes who is obviously holding out for better than Bournemouth.

I can't stand Bournemouth.

Do they send scouts further than 60 miles?

Leeds havent got any money while Bournemouth have.

At the end of the day, its all about money. Club will sell if they can make a wad. Wes will go if he can make a wad. Be philosophical. We will still have a goalkeeper in the team.

If I was Wes I would be looking for a better move than Bournemouth, he is good enough for a Championship side that will be at least pushing for the top end, B'mouth have reached their pinnacle and will never go higher than they are now.  They will probably stay where they are for a few seasons and then start reversing once the owner gets bored of splashing the cash (where have we heard that before?)

He's a wise lad and is obviously being advised well.  If I were him I would be holding out for a Forest, Reading, Leicester sized club that has the potential to challenge and is not reliant on one money man.

The Problem with GKs it they can't be picky if they want first team football. How many Championship clubs don't have a recognised, experienced number 1.

Reading - McCarthy
Leicester - Schmeichel
Leeds - Kenny
Brighton - Kuszcak

I can't see a club in the top half that need a new number one (unless they sell), and don't think Wes would go to be a number 2.

Millwall could flog Forde to Celtic in the summer if Forster gets his reported move back south, but even that's a bit of a sideways move for the lad.

Brum are crying out for a decent keeper but have no money.

I think we're Eddie Howe's favourite store.

The likelyhood is that he is going to have to fight for his place wherever he goes though, every Championship club is likely to have a stopper that is on or close to being on par with Wes, the thing he has going for him is age, he has plenty of time.  Sitting on the bench getting paid Championship wages for half a season is not the worst deal in the world.

Wes has already done that though, although he didn't get the luxury of sitting on the bench. Reckon he would want to be no. 1 wherever he goes and would struggle if he wasn't. It's mentally a big impact to go from being top dog to being understudy, no matter how much they say competition is good.

As I said, I don't think he'd move to be number two.

More likely, a club sells they're GK (McCarthy at Reading is fancied by a fair few Prem sides) and replace him with Wes.
