Similar to the 6 days to saturday (right down to the uncomfortable acting from the footballers), only in colour, not featuring swindon and only nine minutes long.
Weird seeing it in colour

Loved that, what a great age that would have been to experience. Cheers for posting.

Didn't know you had to wear a shirt and tie to watch a football match in the 50's.

Yes it was....grass has evolved a lot since then....although able to withstand grazing by herds of cows, it was unable to withstand Maurice Norman and Bobby Smith running around on it once a fortnight.

Which one is Reg? The kid who queued up early to guarantee his favourite spot....mine was leaning on the wall overlooking the exit right in the middle of the TE.

There's a kid in the crowd at White Hart Lane at 06:57 wearing a baseball cap with his hood pulled up over it, which looks way to 'street' for the 1950s. I think he's a time traveller. Looks all wrong.

Ardiles is right as well. that reminds me of the early 1900's photo with the woman with the mobile phone in it( i'll try to find it) Anyway those look at life dvd's are well worth getting if you are interested in the semi recent past, I've a few of them and they are all good.

You mean stood on a crate Nah. As a nipper, I wedged myself in the frames at the back of the Shrivenham Road Stand...there was a walkway, and just enough space for a little'un to climb up, and brace themselves between the steel frame and corrugated cladding. Good view and atmospheric...but by mid 60's big enough to easily see over the bog wall.

It's a rite of passage to God's waiting room in one's more advanced years.
