Going to see Commitments on Sunday which I think is Leicester Square area. Looking for a decent pub that has nice ales and a good Sunday lunch. Currently the Lamb and Flag looks a decent bet. All suggestions welcome.

we've been to Aberdeen, we hate the Hibs, they make us spew up, so make some noise, the gorgie boys, for Hearts in Europe.

Sorry I should have specified - preferably no chain pubs.

They aren't much cop in the square but if you head over to the eastern end and cross the road there are some decent ones in the alleys. Bear and staff also used to be good but not been there for a while so not up to date.

Is that the one with all the wood panelling? If it is I've had a few beers in there it's ok, not eaten there though.

Dog and Duck on Dean Street is good, although it's quite small downstairs. Crown and Two Chairman also on Dean Street is good and a bit bigger

Lamb and Flag is decent. Not far from there is also The White Swan on New Row which is also good.
