The problem is not other teams being too physical, we're not being physical enough. You can put that down to us having a very small squad.

Jed on the whole has done a good job so far.

Wouldn't disagree with that but IMHO I think he's done us no favours by going public with the letter.  He could have simply announced that he had raised his concerns about refereeing standards with the FL.

Speaking of Kevin Davies, reminds me of seeing him for the first time, playing for Chesterfield in 95. They had Darren Carr a typical neanderthal Div 3 centre half.  Carr dumped Wayne O'Sullivan in front of the south side, now Wayne was only little, so some fella jumps out from the terrace and squares up to Carr...before being escorted away by coppers etc.

A few years later I recall a fella jumping out of the TE, to have a word with an opposition player who was facing up to SSP.
Remember the Darren Carr incident very well ,the "fella" that squared up to him didnt get escorted away by the ob.
He went back to his seat(wasnt terrace then),left at h/t and got nicked in the cgh after the game

You're right it must have been the Intel by then...funny thing memory, the picture I've got is the terrace, prob mixing it up with when Mark Hughes got clocked v ManUre, which was roughly in the same sort of area.

One bloke was arrested and led down the front of the intel.  Plenty seemed to get on the pitch at the time, although I thought only one really got that close to Carr.  That game is the most stoned I've ever been at a football ground, it all seemed rather surreal.

Having read the letter, I think the FA will bin it without a second thought...just a note; we have the 3rd worst diseplinary record in the league at the moment with 22 yellows and 1 red, behind Tranmere (22 yellows/3 reds) and Stevenage (26 yellows). Make of that what you will.
