They'll probably write back it's a bit hard for us to get on our high horse while Preston sit at the top of the League One fair play table and we sit second from bottom.
Although maybe that only highlights his point, judging from people's reaction to the Preston game.
Surely the majority of our cautions have not been for verbal dissent though?

I think the word 'majority' may have been an exaggeration, but we've picked up a few.

Hmmm.
Not sure I like this.
It all sounds like - 'we are trying to play football and nobody is letting us, boo hoo'.
However I see where he is coming from, Fernando Torres can get away with scratching the face of an opponent and we had the Nathan Byrne incident which is clearly what is the bone of contention.
EVERY team in the league has bad decisions, I think we have to just get on with it.

Reading the BBC article, I find the complaint quite embarrassing. I can imagine those not associated with STFC will be laughing their socks off.
Jed has a point, there is inconsistency with refereeing decisions but it's the same for every club up and down the country.

Better to get it out in the open, before someone gets a career ending injury. We've been on the end of some shocking tackles already this season. And recieved dodgy cards for far less serious ones. I doubt it's a conspiracy though, just refs not being consistent, that same old chestnut, so anything that highlights it more can only be good for everyone.

Gotta agree with both of these. Points been made through the media, now move on...

At least it will give their fans something to take their minds off of floodlight issues.

+1 for the slightly embarrassed camp.
Nice that he is trying to stick up for the team but every club could produce a list of decisions they have disagreed with and write the same letter. This "hard done by" act won't make any difference, just get on with it, things will equal themselves out, they always do.

I had the exactly the same thought. Sadly, this game is in early October. If only it was a month or so later, then the floodlight scenario would have them seriously worried. Scousers ( ) love a good whinge, don't they.
