Waste of time. There was enough debate on here, despite us being bias. The FA will deem it reckless, even if it was an accident.

Never in a month of Sundays. Although I did also predict a heavy QPR loss.

Going through the motions and showing support for the player(s). Probably use the post match commentary and views of Franchise manager to show its not frivolous. I suspect it won't change, but would be surprised to see the punishment increased.

I wouldn't. In fact, I'd be surprised by any other outcome.

Good, a complete joke of a decision.

The decision was a joke! Just because the Football league are likely to back their man doesn't mean we shouldn't appeal it. If you don't try you'll never know. If he gets another game for a "frivolous" appeal then its a farce.

The decision to appeal is the joke....and btw appeals go to the FA not FL. I can see that Cooper wants to be seen supporting his player, but it does set a bit of a dangerous precedent.  Would have been much better to accept the decision, and point out to the players the need for discipline on the pitch, particularly in the current climate where it's easy to pick up costly cards, for which Byrne has previous.

His previous being a few bookings I presume (yes I know he was sent off at Brentford - for 2 bookings, the second of which he was barged in the back by Donaldson)?

IMO (and the opinion of a few others it would seem) it wasn't a warranted sending off and therefore the club has the right to appeal. That's what the process is there for. I'm not sure which way it will go and I won't be holding my breath but that doesn't mean to say it's the wrong decision to appeal.

With the exception of the arse licker Hinchcliffe (who was the so called expert on the commentary) every other person asked has said they didn't think the decision merited a red card (including the manager of the opposition team)

That in itself would suggest that an appeal is worthwhile, even if it is upheld by the FA.

If we appeal, it will be overruled and the player will get an extra game's ban.

FACT!

That is the only likely outcome. We should just drop it and move on.

I don't know, another game Byrne can't play would be preferable to some people...
