Cheesy

And FWIW all the comics were very funny but of all of them if you get the chance, Eddy Brimson is well worth watching

The very same. Nawty or not, these days he's very funny. And a very intelligent bloke as well.

It was a good night as my somewhat fragile state this morning testifies Smiley But it deserved a better attendance if they're going to build it into a regular thing, be good to see a few more at the next one

October 5th? That's my birthday (and Spacey's). I think I know what I'd like to be doing that night now.

Not going. Smiley

A part of me wants to, but it's been one of those weeks where you just want to do nothing at the weekend. I like the idea of laying on my sofa and playing with my balls, or maybe GTA.

For those who haven't done a Jongluers ,it's normally a decent night. Unless you get an egg juggler, be warned.

Did anybody got to this last Saturday, any good?  Many there?  Drove by to the chippie about 8 pm and not many cars in the car park.

A chum of mine went, and I caught up with him later in the evening....he enjoyed it, as it was free and extended drinking time to about 10 hours by the time I saw him. He wasn't making a deal of sense on the question of who or what was on, but felt it was decent enough and he wanted to back up the Board for their initiative. He felt if tickets had not been free it would have been empty.

Can't really see this being a winner tbh.

Did anybody got to this last Saturday, any good?  Many there?  Drove by to the chippie about 8 pm and not many cars in the car park.

The host was Matt Rudge and the featured comedians were Brendan Dempsey, Tony Hendriks and Ria Lina.

Matt being host, got the job of warming up the audience and he did this well, letting the naturally mostly Swindon based and supporing audience know that he was from Bristol. He got the audience involved, quite mercilessly where required and kept the gig flowing.

Dempsey is an early 40's male whose act was based a lot around the getting old and losing tolerance with things like kids, noise and getting old.

Tony Hendriks is an apparently white Jamaican (very light skinned mixed heritage) who uses his background to great effect in his material.

Ria is a mixed heritage elfin girl (who it turns out has been married for 10 years, is step mum to a 16 year old and has 3 kids of her own) who makes good use of a ukelele with songs such as 'Mail Order bride' harking back to her Filipino heritage or 'I was jus about to come when you came'.

All acts used a bit of shock com material but an enjoyable night.
