If Spencer was paid a monthly retainer, he would not be included in those figures I suspect

Well PdC/Spencer were gone by january Sam Morshead @SamMorshead_SA 1h For reference, in 2011/12, Swindon Town spent £448,506 on agents' fees, meaning past 12 months saw drop of £320,180

So less than Crawley then. That's more realistic.

Thats £320,180 less spent than last season which equates to one or two decent player wages for a year.
Well done to the board again on this.

For half that time, including the whole 2012 pre-season and January 2013 transfer window, the old board were in charge...
But yeah, good to see, and long may it continue. I've never understood why players don't pay their agents, just like we pay estate agents/solicitors when moving house?

I don't think there's been a breakdown of values post-PDC. A slight improvement probably, though possibly not at pre-PDC levels.

I agree on that, it should be more of a sellers fee for finding them a new club with better wages etc than the buying club funding it. After all its in the interests of the players themselves to have a good agent and should not be down to the buying club to fund that. Agents are parasites in the modern game IMO and if they are wanted by players who cannot negotiate their own contracts then they should be employed by the player at their own expense.
