When put like that, it's easy to see we're better of in all ways. Might struggle with consistency for a little while, but have genuine high hopes.

Easy to see how much better off we are, and how good at bargaining the new board are.

Money for Caddis who was never going to play, some argue it's not what he's worth, but for me...any money is better than having to pay his wages if he isn't going to play...

Well over the odds for Flint, when considered Shitty even covered the sell on clause which went to Alfreton...

A lot of shrewd business carried out. I hope it continues....

Just need to get rid of Navarro and Cox now...do they still exist? Have the board 'finished them'?

Caddis being bombed on was a must for me.

Now the window is shut we may see Cox and Navarro 'let go' just as Coventry have had a cull.

Freebies can move outside the window I believe....

Absolutely, but would we have to pay them off?

Maybe we can sue them for impersonating a footballer?

Has to be said, from someone who's been something of a sceptic about the Jed/Power combo, over the last week or so I think we've started to see it come together. As of right now, we look in relatively decent shape, I'm sure we'll have peaks and troughs throughout the season, but it's starting to look like the peaks could be pretty good.

Cox is still wanted by Plymouth so I think a loan will be in place when he is fit again that will take him off the wage bill but Navarro will stay until the end of his contract and be let go and retired.

It has to be said that given the state of play in the weeks after the play off defeat everything was very doom and gloom and my expectations for this year were avoidance of relegation. The loss of Alan Mc, Flint, Ferry, Devera made things look very bad.

But with respect to Cooper and Jedward - we have a team that is playing good football, beating superior opposition and that contains some absolute belting players - and ones that could be massive crowd favourites - Kasim, Luongo, Ranger, Thompson, Ward, Wes.

I can't really say that the previous season shirt fillers - Miller, Roberts, Williams gave me such an air of excitement.

Ok....so this is Swindon and it'll only last until the January transfer window (and/or court verdict) but I hope it doesn't.

And I loved Jed's tweet about having Kassim in a plane - goes to show intent.

Pretty much agree with all of that Mr B.

Excellent review Sam. We do look short of options at the back, but you get the feeling with this squad that someone will fill in and will prove to be a more than adequate replacement.

Surely we are at a lower level than £3.1m now?  I thought we were at £2.8m a month ago and since then we have offloaded the expensive Caddis, Benson, Ferry, Roberts, Miller, Williams Rooney and Rooney and added less cheaper options?

I would imagine a fully signed up Luongo would not come cheap.
