So Dany N'Guessan now unlikely to come to us due to an injury crisis at Millwall...

I don't know much about Emile Sinclair..

Not done much tbh a player full of promise but not quite fulfilled. Not sure he's worth paying a fee  for but it depends on how much Peterborough want.  I'm sure he is just one name from the list of strikers we have in the frame especially as he hasn't played any competitive football since February.

What he does have is pace & up until his falling out with Peterborough looked to be on for having a good season with them last year. If it was choice of him or Ajose though would probably prefer Sinclair although his lack of game time is a worry.

Peterborough fans still rate him & hope he gets a chance this season so he must have something about him.

They went out on the lash a week before a game, but broke club rules.

A mate at Peterborough tells me that we have made offers for Barnett and Sinclair, Barnett is way out of our league wages and transfer fee wise, Sinclair on the other hand......don't rule it out.

Would be more fun if we signed a posh striker. Archibald-Henville let us down massively in this respect, he sounded like he should be landed gentry, not an injury prone purveyor of bottoms.

Agreed.  A monocle-wearing, Brylcreem-haired type who would only accept a brief (but firm) handshake after scoring a goal would be good.

One of the many peculiarities of modern day life is that the double barrelled name has changed from a signifier of upper classness, to a signifier of chavness.

In the post about Joe Baker, I mentioned Ian Storey-Moore of Forest, who actually dropped the Storey bit from his name, as being seen to be a bit posh in a working class game wasn't on.

It was probably a good 20 years before Forbes Phillipson-Masters was turning out for the 82ers...he sounded well posh, but in Thatcher's Britain...the idea of class solidarity was starting to break down
