That's if you believe they are doing it to give him a second chance rather than get a player cheaply. Although I don't like or trust this Board, in this instance they are no better or worse than a lot of other opportunistic boards who will hide behind the second chance bollocks whereas in fact its more the "bargain" that is the driver.

Trouble is Chalkie we are skint, got no manager....so it shows what options he had.

None bar us....guaranteed.

Apparently he had offers from championship clubs for more money, if you believe the man himself.

“There was strong interest in me from other clubs in the Championship and League One but, despite the offer of more money, I feel that Swindon Town will give me a solid platform to realise my potential and help me from going off the rails.

Lets not forget he could be innocent....if he is i actually feel sorry for him no matter what his past is.

For me its more the fact the board are signing players....call me old fashioned i like the manager to do that.

Innocent or guilty of the charges, I simply refuse to feel sorry for anyone stupid enough to get his name tattooed on his forehead!

How is it ludicrous? Ranger has been charged with rape and he's now an employee of STFC and until the court case is settled we have no idea whether he's at the club long term or not. That's the point I was making and not that STFC is somehow going to be punished alongside Ranger if found guilty.
Now you have clarified your point I retract my earlier statement.

He practised on the pineapple. Then he shot it. And then he fucked it.

I hope they have something in his contract about attitude in training etc:

I've gone off him rather a lot after reading that. I hope Cooper et al take no shit from him.
