Just have to say that if any of you on TEF have not seen Breaking Bad from the start you are definitely missing one of the best series ever.... Have watched it since season 1 aired on channel 4 a few years back and all seasons can be found on Netflix.

Bryan Cranston (the dad from Malcolm in the Middle) and Aaron Paul are superb as Cranston morphs from Mr Chips to Al Capone over the course of six seasons.

Was wondering what I will watch when the final season has ended then realised I would probably watch it from season 1 all over again.

On a side - just watched the pilot for Low Winter Sun: Good man. Cop. Killer... If the pilot is anything to go by this could be another AMC classic...

I'm in the middle of a Netflix trial at the moment and I'm alternating series of Breaking Bad with Arrested Development, both of which I missed when they first came out. Arrested Development also comes highly recommended from me if anyone has missed it.

Currently half way through season 2 of BB, and loving it so far, very interested to see where it goes.

The only drawback is it's one of those moreish programmes that steal sleep from you - an episode finishes and you should hit the sack but you always find an excuse for another episode or 2.

Got to admit to loving it as well. Although I got bored in series 2, or maybe series 3, and wasn't going to watch it again. Luckily I did.

It is worthy of some minor criticism in my opinion and that is that it sometimes seems to have numerous episodes where pretty much nothing happens. It's not as bad as Lost, but thinking back I think many episodes were drawn out and padded with dialogue and pointlessness that added nothing to the overall story.

What I'm about to say has become a cliche already, but the only TV show I've ever seen that is better than Breaking Bad is The Wire

Vince Gilligan's writing was better in the X-Files.

Netflix is ace, well worth the £6 a month. Orange is the new Black is worth a look and you have to watch House of Cards.

Will probably get round to watching it 1 day but I couldn't get into the Wire,24 or Lost so its probably not for me.

Breaking bad's alright, but it has a distinct lack of totty.

Skyler - yes or no?

Undecided.

I made a thread on this very question a while back.

Absolutely this. I love Netflix, and the above shows. I just dislike the lack of films and the fact they remove stuff. Went to watch The King of Kong the other day, for the second time, and it was gone. It makes a very good case for dropping satellite/cable.
