Agree with Cooper. We are gonna get two lumps of shit kicked out of us tomorrow.

For once, I hope we play like Brentford in terms of play acting and diving. We are too honest for our own good.

If you watch Spanish football, then play acting and diving are used by the little skillful players to compensate when it gets physical...I daresay the Spurs kids will have had this coached into them, you can see Pritchard certainly will readily acquaint himself with the CG greensward.

Its going to go one of two ways. A quite literal battering, or they will be chasing shadows and we'll run rings around them.

Assuming they haven't changed their style of play  of course.

I remember man united sending down a team of kids one pre season. We couldn't get close enough to kick them. Lost 3 0 iirc.

Was that Fraser Digby's 'testimonial'? If so I think I was at that game.

Think for friendlies there's a gentleman's agreement that you won't kick them.

When it comes to style clash, then the games v Cambridge under Hoddle have to be the daddy....they undid us 2-0 at the CG with a masterclass in hoofball, topped by Dion Dublin scoring the second. Hoddle was rightly livid that his philosophy was found wanting, but soon got revenge a fortnight later at the Abbey Stadium in the Cup 3-0.

The day we got our revenge was unbelievably brilliant having had to sit through the turgid defeats previously against John Beck's team of "footballers".

Remember losing 4-1 before 2003/2004 season. They absolutely schooled us.

Reg is right re, Pritchard. He's certainly shown his fondness for the floor already.

Nope, the match was the one Tails mentioned after your post:

Cheers Batch and Tails.

This was the match I was thinking of

Any idea of the score in that one? Edit - it was 1-1, apparently Wayne Allison scored for us.
