One of the most important questions of the new season - who will be the official matchday thread starter?

Personally I'd be keen on Shaw Rosso keeping the honours if he's happy to. Despite a disappointing end to last season his detailed comments and random facts put me right in the mood for the match.

Whoever it is now has fewer than 12 hours to prepare, I for one will definitely be glad when the season actually starts. That way we can praise/moan about the actual performance of the team rather than having to speculate on how we'll do.

Another vote for SR from me. I haven't noticed him on the forums recently though.

Yes!

He last posted a week ago.  Might be on holiday?  Anyway, if he wants to do it again this season, that's fine by me.  I enjoyed his posts a lot.

But whoever does it, they have to want to do it.  So if SR does want to step aside, SY gets my vote.

There is no correlation between team performance and match thread starter.

I enjoyed reading SR's opening threads so I would vote for him to carry on if he was happy to do so.

To be fair SR put the effort in to give us a few facts and figures on match days and was pretty reliable unlike Suggs who meant well but was obviously influenced by a bad lot at Uni  Pint
