Well he's hardly likely to come out and say it's a train wreck waiting to happen and we're going to get trashed every game starting on Saturday away at Posh.

One wonders what's going on in Coopers head with the way things have unfolded since Mac Donald left based on the assumption he knew why KMac walked and how he see's things with all these new players coming in and whether he had any say etc. Plus what would the future hold if against all expectations he manages to win enough to keep us out of the mire.

Is that true? He's Terry Cooper's son?

I've nothing against him and hope that he is able to establish himself as an up and coming young(ish) manager with a big future in the game at the highest level!

Quite why any Town fan would want him to crash and burn whilst leading/coaching/managing our team is beyond me.

Saturday is going to be a very interesting day. If we can come away with a point I will be very happy. Even a slender defeat (rather than a massive thumping) where we have been competitive would be a positive outcome.

Yep...his playing career was essentally follow dad around a la Blair Sturrock in its early years...he then more or less fell into non league, where he carried on playing for a remarkably long time.

I think any antipathy will be the feeling that he's little more than a cone carrier for Power...whereas people expect to see amanager at the helm who rises or falls by his decisions.

But that is because we are labelling him as that based upon the fact that he was previously KMac's number 2 and we have Power acting as a sort of 'Director of Football', doing some of the work that previous Chairman might have done.

Must admit, that in interviews I've seen he hasn't really carried himself as being the man calling the shots. However, I think that he looks as if he is growing into the job. That's why Saturday and the coming weeks are going to be very interesting. I think it will show very quickly if he's out of his depth.

It may well be Cooper is ideal for the job...for example whoever gets his nameplate on the CG office is not only going to have to put up with Power's involvement, but Spurs as well....can you imagine say Lou Macari doing that?

But you are putting spin on your statement.

We've had wholesale changes and imported a cheap team. We've got rid of expensive 'luxury' players and got some cheap kids - Who are hopefully hungry for success and bigger contracts! We've used our contacts to get those players.

We couldn't afford to buy a whole new team and don't have a Premiership infrastructure to develop a team from scratch. Good idea then to grab a load of players who are used to playing a certain way maybe? So, we've taken advantage of Spurs - Or perhaps they have taken advantage of us? Who knows?

Then, we have picked up a few players who were released - Therefore not good enough for other teams! Perhaps STFC are min-gayers full of Brighton's cast offs perhaps?

Can't wait for Saturday - We can see how shit/good we really are!

Cooper certainly has a lot more managerial experience than Kmac ever had, has managed some teams well and other teams during difficult circumstances.  If you look at his time at Peterborough didn't they also get through Jim Gannon and Johnson during that season?

I'd prefer Cooper to a lot of managers out there but if given the choice between him and say Tisdale or Hartley who are young and have a few promotions behind them then I'd not want him.

Anyhow, heres hoping for 46 wins this season, no goals conceded and promoted by Christmas.
