I believe Tyrell's dad, Dale Belford, was a coach at Tamworth while one Mark Cooper was in charge there.

There's my conspiracy contribution.

But the manager has no say in transfers, remember?

He was actually released from Liverpool at the end of last season - so I guess/hope he's a cheap backup, rather than a replacement for Wes.

Every club needs three keepers really, particularly if we're keen to build a reserve/development squad.

I remember hearing or reading somewhere (a couple of months ago before we had bought anyone) that the Chairman had mentioned getting another goalkeeper in so that Bedwell could be loaned out to get some experience. The point was because Bedwell wasn't developing by just sitting on the bench.

Fair point about Bedwell getting splinters, nothing he's done wrong either.

This would make good sense.  Bedders needs (proper) game time somewhere if he is ever going to develop ....and lots of it.

I'm just trying to block out the Wes-selling scenario...

We have had keepers on trial all summer so I don't think this is anything suspicious.
