Houghton's success at Malmo had a lot to do with their goalkeeper, Jan Moller (Houghton signed him at Shitty and elsewhere too I think). His teams favoured playing the offside trap and counter attacking football I seem to recall. Or, to put it another way, he's a poor man's Roy Hodgson.

So according to that we haven't spoken to Tisdale then, I thought we had spoken to him twice?
I think this was one of the 'advertiser understands' statements.

After the fascist, the communist, seems fair to me.
I wonder how many would throw their toys out the pram at that?

PdC has few fans left on here...they could live with the fascism, but resorting to social democratic employment laws has proved a bridge too far.

" ...a shortlist of 10 ... we've spoken to 3"
Not exactly in a hurry then. Do you think they know the season starts in 9 days time?
Its been close to 2 weeks now and we've spoken to 3 people? Getting a manager should be more of a priority than that for me.

Not sure that appointing a manager can be done in a short timescale. I think its more important we get the right man, rather than appointing the first person that looks half decent. The fans would be up in arms if we quickly appointed someone who was going to be Malpas Mk2. Cooper has been involved in most of pre-season, I suspect he'll be in temporary charge until we find the right man.

Undoubtedly a complex individual, in many ways a typical fascist, believing in strong leadership, and that all the workers (fans) and masses (fans) need to do is believe and follow...dissent is not acceptable. Fascism can have short term success, Mussollini got the trains running on time, PdC won us Div 4.

Sam has been saying he doesn't think it will be most of the favourites listed.
