We have a freaking annual competition to sign a player who isn't good enough, why would Agombar need bubble wrapping?

No idea. It's the only reason I could think of that had honest intentions. Otherwise it's all a little bit fishy.

I heard Agombar is related to Jed in some way. Could be BS but would make sense

Agombar was slated by all and sundry as soon as his name popped up along with the Banbury triallists so that's why I wondered if they were attempting to protect him somewhat.
Backfired a bit? If we just announced him on a years contract with some bollocks about him being "one for the future" nobody would bat an eyelid bar the usual moaners.

I hope we sign Kasim. Have we ever had an Iraqi player before?

Someone I know reckons that Agombar's dad was involved in the initial takeover as a background investor, but then decided he didn't want to be involved, maybe his signature was pre-arranged? Or the trial was at least?

It appears not, he will be the 49th different nationality to play for STFC.

This will sound dodgy but was sat a few rows behind what had to be Agombars sister, mum and dad/brother (called him over, went crazy when he got subbed on ect). They were sat alongside what i can only describe as a statue of Jed, looked exactly like him so was possibly Jeds dad. So if i am correct then there is definitely a link.

If its the same group I was sitting close to (a very attractive blonde in a shapely dress....couldnt tell you anything about the rest of the group) they disappeared in the second half.....they were seated in about row P seats in the 60s.....but desperately tried to attract our 'arry's attention at the end of the warm-up, and were being visited by someone who could certainly have been Jed-related!! A suitor, I thought....
