SWINDON TOWN: Trialist Kasim will get another chance to impress

SWINDON Town caretaker manager Mark Cooper will give trialist Yaser Kasim another chance to impress him in a match environment after an hour-long cameo against Birmingham last night.

Harry Agombar made his debut for Swindon after signing what is believed to be a one-year contract with the Robins, coming on for the final 15 minutes last night, but the media’s requests to interview the former Arsenal trainee were declined by the club after the game.

 Hmmm

What's this all about?

Must be...the Board don't want him blurting out a string of expletives...sure there can't be anything else they'd wish to keep quiet.

Hell's teeth he's a unit isn't he? I know we have a small midfield at the moment but if we're going to bulk up the size a bit I'd have thought we'd have gone vertical not horizontal. Did we get him on a two for one offer?

Looks like he's about to pick the ball up and start running with it.

Most of our signings this summer have been under-developed. Jack Bathram and Pritchard look like children. We need more a physical presence for sure.

The situation with Agombar concerns me a little; are they shielding him from the criticism that he isn't good enough because Macclesfield released him or is there something fishier? It strikes me as odd that the club unveiled Reis who it has subsequently been discovered hasn't received clearance and as such isn't our player.

I don't think they'd need to shield someone who wasn't good enough, he'd hardly be the first!

I think that's why they're going to Portugal. Some sort of misguided notion that they'll shield the young kiddies away from the criticism that is flying around at the moment so they return in a positive mood.

It won't last, of course.

Agombar was slated by all and sundry as soon as his name popped up along with the Banbury triallists so that's why I wondered if they were attempting to protect him somewhat.
