Lets hope that this bloke is more impressive on the pitch than he is on the STFC World interview, where he comes across as arrogant and clueless.

You'd have thought we'd learnt our lesson after Simon Cox. Wasn't it Fred that flipped out the most? :-)

Must admit I though he came accross alright in that interview, he is obviously not used to dealing with the media but I didn't think there was any arrogance in that at all and certainly not clueless.

Didn't seem arrogant at all to me. He was almost embarrassed when asked to describe his game.

My apologies. I listened to it in a foul mood, which must have clouded my judgement somewhat. I thought I saw someone who wasn't particularly articulate and didn't particularly want to be here. Listened again just now and saw more of what others have posted - Someone who is not used to being interviewed.

P.S. I wasn't 'putting a marker down' and am not a 'boo-boy'. I just misinterpreted an interview.

I don't think being inarticulate has any bearing on his football abilities.

One word. Gascoigne.

And rightly so, Fred said to the effect that Cox had to earn the right to be "banging on the managers door if he isn't picked". At that point he'd had one mediocre game. Then, three games later it was becoming more obvious he had earned the right!

Does anyone know what the deal is with the Spurs Import XI? Do we HAVE to play them?

with our current squad and assuming that Cox, TAH and McEveley will be unavailable for at least the first month then we'll have to play them regardless of any clauses in their deals! There's only the 3 on loan at present, Luongo is almost a guaranteed starter at this point and Hall will either replace or partner Ward at Peterborough. If Pritchard is as good as he is rated then he'll walk into the side too.

Yeah I just wondered if there was an actual contractual clause.
