I apologise if there has already been a thread created to do with this (I know there was one last year, but I can't be fucked to find it). But here goes.
This thread, surprisingly enough, is for people/teams to begin to arrange friendly matches for their respected amateur clubs.
My team, Bassett Bulldogs FC, who play in the Swindon District Saturday League, are currently looking for teams to play between mid July - end of August. Saturday's would be ideal, but I'm sure we can come to a compromise.
We play our home games at Beversbrook Sports Ground, Calne (Where the Town are looking to train as of next season).
If you could give a few details about your team, i.e. team name, where you play, kit colour, favourite half time cheese etc, that'd be reet grand.
So....Who fancies a game?

Bloody hell, you have England legend Martin Peters playing for you. Right,I manage a Sunday team down here in Kent,Aldington FC who plays in the Ashford Premier Sunday league.I am looking to play a friendly in Wiltshire to make a weekend of it.Would you consider playing on a sunday at all?

Cheers blinkpip for the kind words. We're a properly run and well structured club. It's probably quite sad how much time and effort myself and my friend put into the day to day running of it, but it's great fun. We hand picked our squad so it is like one big happy family, but a decent footballing side to boot. Finished 4th in our first season, narrowly missing out on 2nd, so gunning for top two this campaign! We've had a lot of media coverage also, which is nice  Do you play at all? |

Is that the Chiseldon side who play in the Swindon and District Saturday league? If so, nice bunch of lads, bar the prick who throws himself to the ground at every opportunity and play acts... We literally laughed/kicked him off the pitch after a while. Grade A cunt. But like I say, the rest of the lads were really nice blokes who tried to play football. |
