We ave decided to spend a week hotel hopping in Normandy to see the WWII beaches etc, among other things. Anyone got any hotel recommendations for Rouen, Caen, Rennes & Brest?

Stayed in a gite in Normandy, near st hilaire de Harcourt. Very nice. Ferry from pompey to Caen. Don't know any hotels mind.

I love this little gem in the charming little resort of Etretat, with cliffs and a German coastal battery or two to visit. http://www.hotellaresidenceetretat.com

This good place is in a nice little port, with great access to the beaches, and the museums at Arromanches and Bayeux (where you can also check out evidence of an invasion from the other direction). http://www.lamaisondesbigorneaux.fr
