Reading the comments section on the article worryingly mirrors some of the conversations that have been had on here over the last few weeks.
I think we need to all take a look at ourselves, we don't want to be morphing into the Thisis discussion boards, thats sleepwalking to disaster.

Good you on KMac for being prepared to let him leave. He has rarely shown anything and League 1 seems too much for him. Obviously will need replacing though.
Good example of PDC's scattergun transfer approach. Saw him play well against us once, thought he was a world beater, fluttered his eyelids at JW who bent over in 5 seconds to get him signed.

Was good in league 2 and had a lot of assists to his name that year (second to Matt Ritchie despite only playing half the season with us). League one seems to much for him though. Let him go i say

Whilst I agree he hasn't shown enough I don't think he was given a fair crack of the whip. Must have spilt pdc's pint or looked at his bird.
Think he needs a move for his own good now.

I am afraid that ever time I have seen him, admittedly thats only 4 times, he has looke dlike a youth team player thrown in at the deep end who has no pace or strength.
It is for the best that he moves on as he is probably on a fairly good wage too for benchwarming.

That game at the CG when he impressed for Gillingham they played 433 against us and he was quality, as playing further up the pitch and with less defensive work to do suited his game. As soon as he got here he just didn’t seem to fit into our system and his best games seemed to be when coming off the bench.

Di Canio obviously didn't rate him, but in KMac's first game, he came on at Coventry and changed the game - he was brilliant. Never earned another meaningful chance though. He must be really bad in training, as even Mark Francis saw more game time as an inexperienced youth!

Obviously we'd like to move him on, but as Whittingham says... “You never know what they might be doing with their players" ideally a small fee would be paid, but failing that...off the wage bill altogether. Pompey prob want a season long loan, where we pay a part of the wages...hopefully Power can sort something better than that.
If, Cox and Benson can be similarly accommodated, then probably leaves 2 from Collins, Williams and Foderingham, and the exit door might be closed, unless the Leeds right back gets shifted.

Yeah I read it...which is why I said Pompey would want a loan, whereas we'd hope another club would come in with a fee or at least pay all his wages. However, if no other interest maybe Pompey is the best Power can do.

If we can get L.Rooney, Cox, Benson & Caddis off the books I can't imagine we would need to shift another 2 more players....Although if it came to it I would sacrifice Williams over the other two. Wes & Collins despite being high earners are young players you can build a team round.

I've kind of forgotten about Caddis, just assumed he's already gone....although technically he hasn't. Foderingham, Williams and Collins are the 3 most likely to attract interest from other clubs...if say JMac, Navarro or Roberts could, then that would be ideal, but a long shot.
