Great bit of business getting £350k for Flint, decent defender and nothing more, wanted out and seemed a twat generally.

Hope his career goes the way of the slower, slightly shorter, equally technically gifted (ha) Matt Heywood. He did well after he left us...

Flint is a good player especially in this league....we paid £150,000 for him didn't we?....for a non league player...so what we are getting isn't that brilliant.

So he is going to City...who gives a fuck....for me personally i am pissed off that player after player is leaving...good players at that.

Who is going next Sad

Leefer, personally I'd guess Luke Rooney and Paul Benson will both be in the 4th tier come August. Can't see anyone taking a punt on Navarro at his age on his alleged wages. Think we are stuck with him until his deal expires...

The worry for me is we start the new season with McEveley, Archibald-Henville and Cox all struggling to shake off long-term injuries. We could be down to the bare bones by August!

I think Wes and Collins will stay. If Wes goes I'll be fucking worried we'd go down..

Collins would be harder to replace than Wes.

You could find an average 'keeper on a free who would do a job without being as good as Wes but finiding a 15-20 goal a season striker is much harder as we well know.

DRS was saying that Collins was unhappy a few weeks back.

If they're back in training in the next fortnight then one would expect activity over the next week.

Hopefully...

Agreed about the goal thing Changy lad. Collins was badly treated last year I reckon.

However Wes is our best player and has won us bucket loads of points since he signed.

The window doesn't open for another 3 weeks yet. We shouldn't 'expect' anything for another couple of weeks at least.

Jalal is good, there are usually plenty of keepers out of contract and even the older heads can do a job. No point expecting a Wes standard replacement, yes he is our best player but also worth a small fortune. Unless we spend a similar amount we won't get anyone like him in unless we stumble across someone by luck which history shows is very rare.

Anyway, I reckon we will keep him.

I take your point but you know what I mean. You can still announce the signing of a player ahead of the window.

Clubs tend to like to have their squad in place once training begins.
