Not even a goodbye after everything we've been though?

He's on holiday now so I guess nothing will happen for a week or so?

Anyone else a bit surprised that McCormack doesn't seem to have responded to this deadline in either manner? Ever since the article a few weeks back where he was talking about not taking a wage cut, looking after his family, not wanting to uproot and all that bollocks I felt he was angling for a move away. Seems as if our captain isn't as committed to the club as we'd hoped.

Yes, but if the possibility of a two-year deal is still up in the air, it isn't surprising that a final decision has yet to be announced.

In fairness, the deadline imposed by the club was the date by which the club would like to resolve matters by, so that they can make forward plans. McCormack's is still under contract and knows he has options, so probably using this to negotiate the best deal possible for him either with the club or elsewhere. I don't think it should be read that he won't resign necessarily.

None of them are committed apart from to their agents. They are all mercenaries. He's had some good games he's had some piss poor ones. If he doesn't want to play for us he can do one, as I am sure he will.

He has been made a generous offer - improved terms and a 2 year deal.

If he's a man of his word then he would stick around.

Douglas was twice the player of course.

In terms of ability, easily replaceable. Whether we will miss his leadership skills should he leave only time will tell.

Improved on last year or improved on the original new contract?

Either way, if he has better offers its a shame but so be it. Next.
