TBF most people, myself included, was convinced Nathan Thompson was a definite to be sold.

So, yes, it is good news

I responded to this thread because of the title!!

Course its good news those two have signed.....but like the thread title suggests i am still very wary of the set of events.

Believe me Flasheart i love the club....i travel the country and love spreading the word of my love for the club.

Without sounding patronising i admire your loyalty to the cause and new board....but i still need a lot of persuading that things are moving on in the right way.

And yes i might be a cunt....but i certainly aint miserable Cheesy
I think that pretty much sums up my feelings.
Everything's gone very quiet on Power's football league approval, and Crouch's involvement. I'll be going to the business plan presentations to see if there really is any substance. They have no problem trumpeting this as good news but anything negative seems to come out in the media and they then cobble together some half arsed response.

I think when even the supporters club won't give them £10k to do the ticket office / club shop upgrade you know there's some trust issues around. The fact their scrambling round for £10k also highlights just how skint we are.

Read the thread then leefer and you'll see what I mean

And I am not loyal to the board at all, why would I be? I don't even know them! Objecting to unnecessary and over the negativity does not make me loyal to the board or anybody else.

So when did a contract stop players being sold....if i was cynical i could say that it will up his price for potential buyers.

Am i wrong in thinking that Flint and Alan Mac were still under contract.

As i say its good news that he has signed....but it only will be great news if he stays....and if a big offer comes in then he wont Sad

Well it does, but in this case its a bit different in that its the players signing a 2 year deal as opposed to the club activating a 1 year automatic clause. At least that's how I read the new deal.

The club activated Flints 1 year option, Alan Mac is out of contract.

What fucking annoys me more than anything is that this new lot are being fucking cruicified still,on a day that it has transpired that our previous lot are happy to let a player who did not play a minute of football take 8 grand a week.

Why are people not starting to ask more serious questions of the previous regime, Jeremy Wray had the fucking front to sit at a trust meeting and say he is worried about the new lot?

The new lot are being crucified because unlike other interested parties they either skipped due diligence or fucked it up. I guess they saw a club going virtually debt free and saw pound signs flashing. more so if we got promoted. The chickens are now coming home to roost. Tough fucking shit, they took a business risk and its coming back to bite them on the arse. They show no signs of having any capital behind them and don't appear to have put a penny in themselves as well as being chavy cunts.

I think it was more a case of not having a chance to do due diligence due to blacks deadline and taking a flyer on it.  Explains why the Crouch DD took so long, and in the absence of any info I fear he has walked awY.

Not sure what to think about Jed and co, without them we had administration,  if they walk away now ( and they could easily cut their losses and do so) I dread to think where we end up.

I can't understand though how we are so fucked cash wise. We've got a very healthy ST base, good commercial revenue and probably the 6th biggest turnover this season in div 3. The club came debt free ( or so we believe ). Even with such high earners I still can't do the maths and see us being in such shit so early in the day.
