"SIGNED: Nathan and Louis Thompson have today committed their futures to Swindon Town FC by signing two-year contracts #STFC"

Which IS good news, but as Saxondale stated, won't be blow your socks off news to stop people whinging.

I'm sure its great news but trailing it all day seems a bit much

This might be the best news we get for a very long time!

Isn't this the good news that they dished up when releasing Ferry?

It is good news, but not worth the drumroll.

This is good news, if Leeds come for Nathan then we can get a decent fee....shades of Mildy some years back.

Happy with them signing new contracts, but as others have said was it really worth dragging it out all day? I guess any good news is rare at the moment.

No, that was a wind up. It said he had agreed to sign when he got back from holiday. He did that one before and then changed his mind and signed for Uddersfield.

Seriously though, good to get those two sorted. Shame that there's total radio silence on Alan Mac.

Well, not blow your socks off news but what was expected as yesterday we were told today was deadline day.

Nothing about Alan Mac or young Miles.

I think this is really good news. Both very promising players, both local, both have come through the youth set up.

The fact that in a player contract update there was no news about MCCormack pretty much confirms what we already know. Bye bye Alan.

Lets face it unless the news was

'Saudi Prince Arby el Araby has agreed to plough his one hundred and eleventy trillion pound fortune into Swindon town and will arrive hearalded by a free concert by Muse, Coldplay and Beyonce (who has promised to get em out for the Swindon boys) with Messi and Ronaldo on each arm'

it was never going to please the whingers.
