I expect it does not cost much to re-seed the pitch its all the drainage etc that was put in a few seasons ag othat was the real cost, I expect this is standard low cost maintenance

Yeah, plus I heard they got the grass seed cheap because it fell off the back of the truck.

And they're cutting corners by mixing it with those free seed testers you get at the garden centre.

I like the idea of the CG being turned into a wildflower meadow, for the close season. Bale up some hay, early August and a bit of pocket money for the groundstaff.

Let's just go whole hog and replant with oilseed rape/sugar beet during close season. They're one of the few crops farmers make money on apparently.

We're a rural club after all...
