Well, that was a shit game contested by 2 shit teams with a shit ref.

And a poor turnout of Town fans - 9000 really isn't good enough for a play-off semi.

Got neck ache with all the hoof ball

Gutted. Absolutely gutted. I just can't see us getting even a draw down there.

Re. the pen, Byrne was taken out in the build up, so we should've had a free kick.

We should've had a blatant pen with a massive push on Flint right in front of the lino who did absolutely bugger all.

And why do we always get shit refs?

What a challenge from McCormack to deny their lad when he was through!

We were easily the equal of Brentford. IMHO we deserved a narrow lead, which in a strange way would worry me about us trying to sit back and handing them the initiative.

It's a battle and you don't get to Wembley by playing pretty football but losing the battle.

well there were a fair few coppers legging it down Manchester road after what looked like a group of town fans. But I didn't  see a Massa brawl or anything like that so no idea if it had really kicked off.

The standard of officiating was made clearly evident when Massimo(?) was blatantly tripped when tracking back yet the linesman gave a free kick to Brentford. The Ref overruled it on that occasion but what the fuck was going on in the lino's mind at the time is beyond me. He was in the right position to see it as well.

We can berate the ref for the decisions that we did not get but he is supposed to be helped out there and at least one of his two assistants wasn't at the races today.

The one on the Arkells side couldn't make a decision to save his life.

The blatant puch on Flint was right in front of him...did nothing.

did nobody else notice the Brentford player off the ball in the box blocking  from reaching the cross?
Not only that, but there was a blatent handball from Douglas.

We were the better of two pretty poor teams. Neither anywhere near good enough for the Championship.  Brentford did next to nothing, but still came away with a goal.  That's the sort of luck you need in the play offs.

Shit ref and linesmen yet again.

One substitution, 10 mins from the end.  Ferry out wide.  Shit managerial decisions.

We'll lose on Monday, because we can't convert pressure into goals and the momentum is now with Brentford.
