Luongo return could hinge on Championship football

MASSIMO Luongo has hinted at a return to Swindon Town next season, but it could depend on whether or not the Robins secure promotion to the Championship.

Is he good enough for the championship? Not from what I saw on TV.

Pretty sure he was on loan at Ipswich earlier this season? Think they quite liked him as well

Potentially i think so.  Technically very good with a decent football brain.

Seems a good ball winner and engine in midfield. His decision making sometimes lets him down. Definitely wouldn't say he's Championship quality right now and would still rather have Ferry back here next year.

Guaranteed future Australian international though.

Agreed. Decisions will come with more experience though, and him and Ferry would be a great pair to have in the middle. Brave little bugger too.

If the club is insistent on Ferry leaving, we could do a lot worse than having Luongo and Macca in the centre of midfield.

We'll see how his big game mentality is on Saturday/Monday.

I like him.

Change of manager probably didn't help his cause though. Suspect he's not really a Mick McCarthy type player.
