Having been exiled in East Anglia for 14 years in the late 1970's/80's I still tend to look out for local team's results.  Last night Kings Lynn won the Evo-Stick league title.  Not bad for a team that went bust a few years ago and had to come back up through the pyramid system when reformed.  Coalville were the runaway leaders of the league from the start and at one time were 17 points in front, the Linnets kept plugging away and gradually reduced the gap to win the league with one game to spare.  They also had just under 2,000 in the ground, conference teams would like that sort of attendance, although to be fair they only normally play in front of 600 or so!

A friend of mine watches Kings Lynn... pleased for them. They get excellent attendances for the league they're in!

King's Lynn used to be one of the major English towns, when it traded with the Hanseatic League, a kind of 14th Century EU.

I guess it dodged a bullet, that it didn't become like Felixtowe or Harwich.

You're right that they only get around 600 normally (well 668 apparently!), but judging by the rest of that league those are still pretty impressive numbers!
