Reg, I see in today's Adver that the council are asking themselves for planning permission to demolish Aspen House and the old Registry Office.

How does that work? Is it just an internal memo? Or maybe they just shake on the deal by the coffee machine?

Are those buildings all empty now? I saw the shop that used to be Circle 7 was boarded up with a sign saying "bought by the council for redevelopment". Or something like that.

I've just re read that thread and most of it is the sort of 80% bollocks that is the lifeblood of the TEF, which is why I couldn't understand what your beef is about, then or now.

Nope they make a formal application... to themselves, if there is a fee payable they even have to pay... themselves.

Its all a bit of a farce but at times that's the planning system.
