Be very surprised if we don't get some offers for him this summer. Will be disappointed to see him go, particularly if we're a championship side, but as long as we get a decent sum for him, I'll be happy for him.

What's the going rate for a keeper of his quality then?

Obviously an ambitious lad, he shouldn't be playing in league 1 next season

He didn't have a Football League game to his name before Town so I'd like to think that he'll give us at least another season simply because we gave him these opportunities.

Plenty England youth international goalkeepers fail to reach their potential because they spend too much time as understudies.

On that subject, has Swindon ever got good money for a player?  Genuine question.  I imagine we've done (relatively) well with a couple of young hotshots that were nowhere near the first team, but I can't think of a time we have sold a prized asset - usually their contracts just run out in the end and they walk I guess.

He only went for six figures didn't he? I understand it was an undisclosed fee, but that was the rumour I heard. I refuse to believe he was worth less than a million.

Austin, Fjortoft, Shearer and Ritchie are four instances where we didn't get what they were worth.

Fair enough, I did lose my train of thought mid-post.  I just meant either players go when their contracts run out or we don't cash in as well as we might.
