It all depends on your state of mind before you start drinking. These days if I've had a bad day I won't get hammered, because it will only come out later in the night. I never have problems when I go to pubs but with nightclubs I do, so many knobheads out looking for trouble.

Agreed. I am an affable person, even when i'm pissed but I can get very opinionated (not in a personally obnoxious way) and feel like i'm on a mission to set the world to rights. I've had many scrapes in nightclubs but i'm not an aggressive person, I just seem to draw people to me who want to take things out on me.

If I ever step foot in a nightclub again it will be too soon. Awful places.

Again, I'd say the same applies to me there. An example from about a year ago, I was in a nightclub in London and on my way back from the bar with 2 drinks in hand. Some guy then thought it would be funny to trip me up in front of everyone, I reacted and we had a scuffle, both got kicked out. My friends then had a go at me the next day, but the alternative was to brush it off and act like nothing had happened, looking like an idiot in front of everyone. I would rather the first scenario.

I had a similiar situation when I was working in a hotel bar. At a wedding function - of all places - some twerp thought it'd be a good idea to trip me up as I was carrying a plate of drinks. Smashed glass everywhere. I very nearly lost it but the doorman in close proximity dealt with it.

Seems to me that many people are out to coerce a confrontation. I got punched square in the face once for having the "cheek" to say to a Welshman (Italy were beating them at football at the time) that Italians don't really give a toss about the national team

  Yep. We have a hot headed temperament. But seriously though, i'm quite a placid individual but i'm too easily incited by provocative types. Have a good night. I'm off for a couple of jars in the hope I can meet a member of the opposite sex.

I got banned from my brothers wedding a couple of years back, and last year from my sisters wedding because they just couldn't trust me not to make a fool of myself. They were right. The litany of errors i've made at family functions is cringeworthy.
