Drink is the undoing of man. The Moslems have it right on that. I am a right boring git when i'm sober and i'm a lunatic when i'm pissed. I can find no middle ground. Do you ever feel really self conscious around people who know what you're like when pissed? They expect that of you at all times. It is exhausting to put on a facade, when you just want to do is put on a pair of slippers and smoke your pipe and watch documentaries.

I got banned from my brothers wedding a couple of years back, and last year from my sisters wedding because they just couldn't trust me not to make a fool of myself. They were right. The litany of errors i've made at family functions is cringeworthy.

In my university halls I became a hate figure. That was a fucking difficult time. I didn't conform and when that became clear to me I just embraced the role and ran with it. When I look back that period of my life screwed me up big time. Still, had a close knit few friends who also refused to flow through the same arteries as the majority of dickheads I encountered there.
They say university is the best time of your life. I wanted to bail out on day one.
