Sheringham won the free-kick, although Beckham had been playing in just about every position on the pitch for the 20 minutes that preceded it. He was everywhere, probably one of the best individual performances I've ever seen.

Agreed, properly lead by example that game. We were crap for most of it but I was lucky enough to be in the Stretford End behind the goal for THAT free kick. I'll never forget it that's for sure - plus I've never seen a whole crowd dancing to DJ Otzi's "Hey Baby" before or since.
