I learned that running 4 miles across fields is very much harder than 5 miles on the path.

And driving six miles is a lot fucking easier. Driving

I learnt about the Levellers in reference to the English Civil War

Did you learn about the executions in Burford Chuchyard?  Nice plaque there to commemorate those sorry events. Also, there's Levellers Day in May

What I learned is that if you're going to apply for jobs via job websites, take a copy of the job listing before it expires or run the risk of ending up in an interview where you don't knowing exactly what the job is and what it pays.

1. That the architecture around Tower Bridge is becoming stunning

2. The Camera never does justice to such sights

What I learned (recently), is that some companies pay employment agencies to "police" Internet job sites and sites like LinkedIn that flag up new cv's and members. Then contact you with the pretence of having something lined up whilst gleaning relevant info about your current job, status and reasons for leaving. Low and behold you'll get a phone call from your current employers asking if you're happy with your job! Or, contacting your employers asking about the job vacancy for the job you have not left yet!! Be warned!

I've learned that giving blood is a painless, worthwhile thing to do that takes no time at all. Wish I'd done it sooner...
