The papers here have had pictures of it in Penang.  Didn't realise they celebrated it anywhere in Malaysia, I might have tried to go if I'd known.  I was in Cambodia this time last year and it's tame as fuck compared to the Thai version.

That wont be happening. It was fun the first few times but I keep well clear now. Too many drunken twats that can't handle their beer and the water is often dirty leading to illness and stuff.

Having only been once I can understand the novelty wearing off.  Know what you mean about the water, I've had dodgy guts from swimming in lakes before and have seen countless infected cuts on people too.
