For a spell when he arrived last year with Parkin i thought he looked a class act !

On Saturday when he was suppossed to be warming up at half time he spent 5 minutes sat with Roly Poly Howard in the Barnsley dugout eating a mega bucket of doughnuts and when our boys came back out he stood up and did some silly tricks quickly as if he was bothered.

When he did get on apart from trying a blaster from a tighter angle than the one Van Basten scored from his only contribution was to jump into their full back 3 seconds after the ball had gone.

I like the bloke but he ain't interested and we might be better off moving him on now before we have to pay any more or he starts to hold Caton's progress up

I think it wont be long before the chavmeister leaves......when we signed him I wasn't happy but to be fair he did have a good 2 or three games which changed my opinion.

Bristol Rovers would be my guess.

he can be good when he bothers but he seems to be a player who is easily disheartened. he needs a swift kick up the arse and to be motivated to perform. we could pay him bling as a performance related bonus Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy

Roberts appears to be completely wasting his talent which he has in abundance IMO.  A great shame but maybe we should offload him if we can before the transfer window closes, giving Kingy a chance to get in one or two loan signings perhaps?

He was good for two or three games, won his place in the side then stopped trying, then got injured

Towards last season he was over weight and no where near fit enough. I thought a good pre-season would sort him out....although not much of a pre-season he doesnt seem to have made any effort to get in shape or shed the pounds....

Days are numbered....

i think its a confidence thing. a bit like Rory Fallon suffered last season. he had that crash and got injured and was played when he was not fully fit at the back end of last season and he struggled. i think he hasn't really recovered that lost confidence. Maybe a loan spell will do him good like Rory's loan at Yeovil did to him. I think that would be useful and id like to think we would keep him.

I like Roberts and if he's given half a chance I think he would take it and be a good asset to us. He needs to start games and not be a super sub...

On form he is a class player, we all saw that in his first few games.

I don't think he's interested in playing on the wing as King wants him to, he needs to play up front.

He is not the best finisher, but he has great skill and an amazing first touch, so if he played just behind the front two then he could be effective.

I don't think it's particularly fair to brand Roberts useless this early into his Swindon career, bearing in mind he had the barage of injuries (car accident followed by hernia) which disrupted his settling in.  After a full preseason I fully expect him to be back to his lethal, dangerous self.  Franchise away last season after he'd returned from injury demonstrated flashes of what he was capable of doing.  He does need a run in the side, and think we will reap the rewards if we do.

Nobody is branding him useless, but he definitely showed a lack of desire and a crap attitude on Saturday

Roberts looked good when he was playing up front with Parkin.  As soon as he was moved out wide, he looked out of place.  Which is exactly why he left City because they kept playing him out there.

I think that it is hard to show desire after watching 75 minutes of shit from the the bench and then being put on when we are 2-0 down and realistically there was no way that we could make a come back.
