Whippet Fancier

We have always given our whippet three small meals a day. That was the pattern he was on when we got him and as at that time we both worked from home we left him on it. 5 years down the line we could do with getting him onto 2 meals - one in the morning and one in the evening.

Have any of you any experience of this kind of thing.

I went the other way as my dog had tummy problems so we now give him 4 smaller meals a day.
Just do it as you wish as your dog will get used to it as it becomes the norm.

We give ours a large bowl once a day, hes been getting too dominant in the house so we have been trying to win some back!

Seems to be working though

Always been one big meal in the evening for ours although she does quite well during the day on the scrounge.

She had porridge/milky biscuits in the mornings as a pup but that was it.

Big bowl for breakfast and a few treats later in the day. Been the same for 5 years and seems to keep him happy.
