The 2nd game is on the same day no?

All the teams have the same recovery time as their opponents.

Those who play Friday will have two days recovery and those who play Saturday will have one.

Booked holiday and flights for play-off weekend, now to see what match(es) I can go to! As I'm going to be in Battersea, Brentford is the best opponent for me.

Sorry yes, I get it now. In my original post I meant to say it isn't the same for all four sides, obviously it is the same for each set of semis.

Booked a holiday so will miss the final if we get there... Not massively bothered, I can't fucking stand Wembley and at least if we lose I won't have spent half a months wages on a day that depresses me and I can drown my sorrows in the sunshine. Winning will be even better, although I'd probably be a little gutted I missed it then!

Will be a tough ask to get there, mind. I think we're the weakest team of the 5 who could finish in the playoffs at the moment. I'm sort of banking on all our bad luck being totally reversed in the month of May... Roberts scoring off his arse and the teams we face constantly hitting the post. I sort of hope its Donny or Sheff Utd purely for the bigger away end... Brentford would be mint on a bank holiday weekend though, especially if we win!

Two semi's in 3 days is ridiculous though. Our squad is inury hit enough as it is!

I was lucky enough to be in Vegas when we last got to the play off final.

Gutted after finding out that we had lost, but the cushion of Vegas certainly helped. I can't stand Wembley either, with it's over inflated prices and the fact that they drown out any sort of atmospehere with your run of the mill dance music at a deafening volume!

Awful place!

1st leg (match A) - Friday 3rd May 2013, kick-off 7.45pm
1st leg (match B) - Saturday 4th May 2013, kick-off 5.20pm

2nd leg (match A) - Monday 6th May 2013, kick-off 1.30pm
2nd leg (match B) - Monday 6th May 2013, kick-off 4.30pm

Play-off final: Sunday 19th May

Does anyone know how this equates to Home and Away Ties.

i.e. We finish 5th. We will be match B semi-finalists.

But will we be Home or Away in 1st leg ?

Think i might be able to just about work out what happens in the 2nd leg if I get answer above  Smiley

Match A = 6 v 3
Match B = 5 v 4

if we finish 5th, we will be home first.

The theory being that the higher finishing sides deserve the 2nd leg at home.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the Internet reaction to Swindon making the Play-Offs. It's been a loving mix of doom, gloom, cynicism, pretend lack of care and a form of low key optimism.

People (not within this thread) having been talking about the automatics like they were ours. We've been Top 10 all season and out of the 45 'matchdays' we've been Top 2 for just three of them. Like all seasons there are plenty of 'what ifs' but why over-dwell on it?

We're exactly where we deserve to be and thoroughly deserve credit for maintaining this position. If you don't like Wembley then don't go. If it's too expensive then don't go. This is modern football and very few of us don't know any different to this.

To conclude: Sit back and relax! Go to the games or watch them on Sky. I'm choosing to enjoy the prolonging of the season.

Top post Costanza. I'm going to love or hate the play offs based on the results but then that's what they're all about.

We have as good a chance as anyone and I'll be shouting myself horse hoping it'll be us who makes it.

Amen to that Costanza  Yes

A chance to expunge the awful recollections of the previous two Wembley occasions and atone for our "no-shows" (on and off the pitch) may well come around sooner than we anticipated. Let's make the very best of it  Beers
