In the event we play them, Brentford and Yeovil's ticket allocations are going to be well over subscribed by our fans?

Remember Brighton in 03/04? Their allocation on a normally match day was 750. They had to extend ours to 1,200 odd I think as that was just ridiculous.

The dates are a fucking nightmare. Playoff semi home leg (assuming we are home first) clashes with Lumberjacks and something I booked for the Mrs Xmas on Fri and Sat respectively. Playoff final potentially clashes with sons league cup final match at the CG, hopefully for the love of god the latter is moved should we make it.

Town in the Play offs should give plenty of opportunity for placing some win/win bets. Insurance, if Town go up great, if not then least you come out with a profit.

That and the fact that nearly half the town lost money betting on Crewe the other week, means the gods of fate obviously prefer it when Town fans start betting against themselves.

I think it would be beneficial if we finished 6th.

Hear me out. Next weekend Brentford V Doncaster to decide the second automatic place, whoever doesn't make it will surely feel deflated, especially if its Doncaster who have been up there all season. We could catch them feeling sorry for themselves and potentially nab a place at Wembley.

I know whoever we play will be difficult, but it could work in our favour.

If Yeovil win and Brentford don't next week then Yeovil will finish 3rd, so likely that we'd end up playing them.

Sheff Utd have 2 games to play but nothing to play for.  They could easily lose both games meaning we would finish 5th at worst

Away to Crewe on Tuesday I predict a draw
Home to PNE on Saturday and I predict a home win

Did you predict that Pompey would stuff em despite already being relegated? If you did I'll get down the bookies. :-)

To be honest I don't give a fuck who we get. If we turn up with the same intensity as the last two games we can beat anyone.

On holiday for the legs and probably won't go to Wembley if we get there.

Other half is really pushing for us to go away saturday and sunday to IOW for some 40s thing (wedding in 6 weeks is 40s themed, she also loves IOW) - I keep saying no because we can't afford it (despite my having found a very reasonable deal) and now I'm wondering if I tell her now that it's the play offs or just wait until she finds out of her own accord...

Negotiate. Ask her what she would like to do instead of going to this IOW shindig, making up some excuse as to why you can't go. Then you know what you're up against as a form of compensation. Don't forget that one of the play off semi's will be on the box and the final will be anyway. I am already making CONTINGENCY plans for Wembley just in case we get there. £200 will go a long way towards booze and succulent goodies for the proposed BBQ.
