Cureton and Thorpe showed no interest in ever playing for us, Roberts might be crap but I've never seen anyone fault his effort.
I watched a reserve game in 2005 and Thorpe was on the pitch. Literally, he was just on the pitch. I don't think he broke out of a stroll or touched the ball.
I wasn't really trying to condemn Roberts' efforts, but in terms of the hope we had when he arrived against what he's actually delivered, it really has been a big disappointment. |
