The club seem to be very good at spinning this, this is what they was supposed to have done weeks ago so I wont beleive it until new players arrive and are confirmed as signed
I think generally it's important that when you 'spin' some facts, people believe it so frankly I'd suggest they're rubbish at it.

From my perception of the situation it seems like ever since they've been asked to have it by the FL, the board has had the 1.2m ready to go into the right place to get the embargo lifted, but after the due dilligence process, the extra debts had to be sorted, and there was the possible legal situation hovering over the horizon that had to go one way or the other too. From their statement last night, it seems the 1.2m has now gone to where it needs to, and it's simply a matter of paperwork with the FL. And then a mad rush to get some loans in.
Mind you, we've said this before...

Not 100% sure on this, but has Jed actually ever said when the embargo would be lifted? Only Murrell gave a timescale IIRC. Jed has said he was hopeful it would be lifted, but I think he never really gave false hope really.
I may be wrong of course.
To be honest Bob, Jed has said several times this week that the embargo would be lifted before the deadline and on Monday he seemed more than confident that it would be lifted Tuesdsay/Wednedsay and also on Monday saying " In 48 hours people will wonder what all the fuss was about" along with giving the thumbs up when asked if 100% the embargo will be gone by deadline. It sounds like he has no intention of disclosing what the hold up was and said"there has been enough bad press" and "no" he won't be explaining the reasons. The trouble is after saying these things he has said it will 99.5% be lifted and the .5% is down to the FL if it doesn't happen.

I'm in a bad mood, so my perception is that the board were told 2 months ago what they had to do to lift the embargo. They chose to wait until yesterday to meet all the requirements.

The FL stance of saying nothing means all we can do is trust that the Board have done everything they say they have. It's not helpful, though.

haha, I meant why do you think they would leave it until the last minute but that's a fair answer too.

This is not the first item the board have said requirements were met. Going by what the board are telling us, the FL keep on moving the goalposts.

Probably because they couldn't raise the funds until now. I hate to think who's lending us this money and how much it's going to cost us in the long run. Either that or the 1.2m means there's no funds available for transfers.
