You can reheat cold chilli con carne and that has them in. I've googled this before

If you've just heated refried beans can you do it again for a second time?

Probably should have been phrased as "Can you re-heat kidney beans and then safely consume them?" because you can definitely re-heat them, they don't form some kind of heat resistant patina after once being cooked.

 Cheesy

I am imagining some nutter printing out inane TEF threads and wallpapering an entire room with them. If you can imagine it, there's probably someone doing it.

Got to admit to reheating some paella years ago - never felt so ill in my whole life

I was sat on the crapper while vomiting in the sink at the same time.

A lesson learnt (learned?)

You re-heated a dish containing chicken, shellfish and cooked rice? What were you expecting to happen?

I've done this hundreds of times and have never had a problem.  As long as it is cooked fresh and properly, cools before chilling and is piping hot when reheated you should have no problems.

This is an opportunity to trot out one of those pointless bits of knowledge that stick in your mind.

Re-fried beans haven't been fried more than once. The name is a mistranslation of the spanish "frijoles refritos" which means "well fried beans" not re-fried beans.

I have no idea why I know this. I don't speak Spanish and have no particular love of mexican peasant food.
