Ladies and gents, I know this subject gets done to death but I need your assistance.

I am taking 8 clients to the game 2 weeks Saturday and we'll be going out after, Longs then Wood St, but would like a sit down ruby before hand.

Any recommendations for curry houses in Old Town? Must be eat in, ample room somewhere for a table of 9 or 10 and of course licensed (don't know if there are any BYOB in Swindon...?)

Advice gratefully received as I am a Rodbourne Rd man normally

Curry Garden is reliable. Jewel in the Crown is large but would necessitate walking down the hill and back up again.

I've been to Ruchi several times with more than 10 people and thoroughly enjoyed it every time. From my experience it fits all your requirements.

The new Bombay Lounge opposite the Pig on the Hill is vey tasty and has a great decor. Reserve a table though as it's not very spacious.

I always go to Mela in Old Town. Think it's something to do with Monsoon down the bottom of town.

Think they've got plenty of room upstairs, might need to book for a larger table though.

The place at the top of vic hill is nice, not the one next door to the vic, the one two doors down from that. I don't know the name, but it's always good whenever I've been.

Curry Garden I believe.

That or Jewel in the Crown are your best bets from my experience.

Ruchi's is my curry establishment of choice, followed by Curry Garden.
