  SWINDON Town chairman Jed McCrory has confirmed that he spoke to Ian Wright about the vacant manager’s position at the County Ground before opting for Kevin MacDonald.

I've just listened to Ian Wright's comments on Absolute Radio and to those of you who dismissed him as an idiot/loon etc, the bloke is clearly anything but. He wanted the job but knew it was not right for him (no pun intended!) and that to take it would have been a selfish decision. Fair play to him for realising that. He's actually gone up in my estimation having see that.

He plays the clown a bit as a pundit but, as OST says, he is an intelligent and honest man underneath.

This video in particular, he comes across as an all round decent, family man. It's 25 minutes long, so you may want to make a cup of tea before watching it, but it is good to see his story through his words.
